Putnam Fine Arts and Crafts Festival
The third annual Putnam, CT Fine Arts and Crafts Festival will feature the work of over 70 fine artists/artisans from New England. Shop original paintings, pottery, photography, jewelry, glass, woodworking, fabric and so much more! This event is held outdoors, rain or shine-Saturday and Sunday June 21st and 22nd, 10am-4pm. Admission and parking are free!
Enjoy live demonstrations by area artists and live musical entertainment throughout each day.

Get excited!! The Thicket is hosting a picnic for thick folks (a Thicknic) on Sunday, June 8, 2025 from 12-4pm!
The Thicknic is a community-centered gathering celebrating size inclusivity, joy, and connection. We're excited to offer a large clothing swap as well as a market of pop-up vendors offering vintage, handmade, and thoughtfully curated goods that align with The Thicket's values centering on creating a loving, safe space for bigger-bodied individuals.
This event is open to the public with FREE public parking at Wawecas Elementary School across Burncoat Street.
Attendees interested in participating with the clothing swap will be asked to pay sliding scale admission to the swap tent ($8-$15). Have no clothes to swap? That's okay, we will start the swap with piles that The Thicket has spent the last few months collecting! Simply pay your admission and come through. Have no room for more clothes? Anyone interested in simply dropping off clothes for the event is also welcome to do this, no charge.

Articulture Westfield, our annual expansive community art and cultural experience featuring local and regional artists, authors and musicians all indoors under one roof at the same time, returns to the Amelia Park Arena, 21 South Broad Street Westfield, MA on May 2 & May 3, 2025. Seventy-five new, emerging, experienced and professional artists and authors will showcase their creativity and talent in their individual 10’ x 10’ exhibition spaces on the floor of the arena!
Wear your walking shoes and come prepared to explore … there will be so much to experience!
Featured art work will include painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, collage, photography, printmaking, digital art, functional art, wood, glass, metal, fiber, clay, ceramics and scratch board created by local and regional artists from the Pioneer Valley, western MA, greater New England and New York
All works will be available for purchase! Don't forget Mother's Day is just eight days away. Art makes the PERFECT gift!
Also featured are local and regional published authors, writers and poets. Signed copies of their literary works will be available for purchase. Books are really good for Mom too!
